Services We Offer

Life Deeds, Inc. was launched in 2008 as a community-based initiative serving high-risk youth and adults throughout the District and Maryland. We seek to ensure that the community at-large is better off by offering assistance with housing, employment, and strength-based initiatives. Over the past decade Life Deeds has provided intervention and prevention services to over 4,000 district youth and adults between the ages of 16-35 years old. We have implemented support services and programs through collaboration with District service providers, area schools, libraries, and District agencies such as the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS), Department of Human Services (DHS), Department of Employment Services (DOES), and Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONES).

Supportive & Transition Housing

The Life Deeds supportive and transitional housing programs are constructed to serve as a temporary housing arrangement for participants. Upon entrance into the program, a customized exit strategy is identified to ensure alignment and optimal participant success. Every participant in the Life Deeds program is fully aware of their reason for enrollment and have agreed to the housing outcomes. By including their involvement in the process, we have mitigated risk and increase the opportunity for success. Upon completion of Life Deeds supportive and transitional housing programs, participants are able to effectively matriculate into independent living arrangements.
